Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
