Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has endured a difficult season, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Now training with his coach and his other coach, he has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after March of the previous year.
The win also indicates he has secured twenty-one titles at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is particularly special," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, including in the German tournament in the past months.
His defensive strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused some to question if his skill to play at the top level was over.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
The pair swapped service breaks in the second set before the challenger, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before the champion won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he secured the win with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
